Wesley’s peer tutoring program strives to assist all Wesley students in achieving academic excellence through individualized tutoring. Tutors will train to achieve this goal through several tutor development opportunities. By providing a comfortable, supportive environment, students are encouraged to learn on their own or through one-on-one tutoring sessions.
Who are tutors?
Our extensive peer tutoring program includes 35-40 peer tutors who cover a wide spectrum of academic courses. Tutors are Wesley students who excel in their subject, are recommended by faculty, maintain a high overall GPA and are hired and trained through a series of workshops by professional staff members.

Trained to assist students to improve their writing skills not just English but in all courses, Writing tutors complete a course, EN201, in preparation for their work as a tutor. After completion of training, writing tutors are eligible for certification by the international College Reading and Learning Center (CRLA).
